Ron Atkinson – Founder & Executive Director, YESUSA Transformational Cities

Beyond his work in city transformation, Ron is a devoted follower of Christ, a father of six, and a grandfather of two. His beloved wife, Gilda, passed away in 2018.

Ron is a visionary Christian leader with a heart for underserved youth and families. With over 40 years of experience, he guides YESUSA with a focus on unity, collaboration, and relationship-building.

During the challenges of 2020, Ron founded YESUSA Transformational Cities, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering communities through strategic partnerships. He believes transformation requires collective effort, uniting churches, nonprofits, businesses, governments, and schools to shift outcomes for youth and families.

This vision led to the collaborative Community Classroom Project, fostering Values-Based Leaders through Character Development, College & Career Readiness, and Parent Engagement/Trauma Healing. Many organizations are uniting to address stubborn problems that no one organization can solve alone.
